• Adoption - If the adoptive father himself asserted that he never took the appellant in adoption, the court cannot come to the conclusion that appellant was taken in adoption - During the period when the alleged adoption took place, the appellant's natural father was Sarpanch of the village and the register which was produced in court to show that there was some entry with regard to adoption remained with the said Sarpanch - Adoption not proved - Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956 (78 of 1956).
